Bernardo Heights Veterinary Hospital is proud to be an AAFP certified Cat Friendly Practice.
It can be stressful for both you and your cat to visit the veterinarian.
The veterinary visit starts before you even arrive at the veterinary clinic with trying to get your cat in the carrier and the car ride to the practice.
58% of cat owners report that their cat hates going to the veterinarian and 38% report they get stressed just thinking about bringing their cat to the practice.
When designated as a CFP, we have proven that we taken specific extra steps to assure they understand a cat's unique needs, have implemented feline-friendly standards, and have made changes to decrease stress and provide a more calming environment, such as feline-only waiting areas or exam rooms.

Pet insurance pays, partly or in total, for veterinary treatment of the insured person's ill or injured pet.
Some policies will pay out when the pet dies, or if it is lost or stolen.
As veterinary medicine is increasingly employing expensive medical techniques and drugs, and owners have higher expectations for their pets' health care and standard of living than previously, the market for pet insurance has increased.
Pet insurance companies are beginning to offer the pet owner more of an ability to customize their coverage by allowing them to choose their own level of deductible or co-insurance.
