Dr. Carol Oates purchased this veterinary clinic from a local veterinarian, Dr. Curtis, in 1971 upon her graduation from The Ohio State University.
The hospital was much smaller at that time and has had two significant expansions throughout the years, with the last one being in 1998.
Dr. Carol's husband, Gary, a local farmer with a degree in dairy science (The Ohio State University 67), helps make sure everything is in proper working order at the clinic.
Wellness examinations are the most crucial part of preventative healthcare for pets in all life stages, from puppies and kittens to senior pets.
They allow us to detect changes such as weight gain or loss, dental disease, and other subtle differences you may not notice at home.
We also provide preventative healthcare, which includes the prevention of common parasitic infections in cats and dogs.
Not only can we prevent heartworms with preventive medications, but we can prevent a variety of internal and external parasites too.
Your kind words mean the world to us, and we're so thankful that you've taken the time to provide us with feedback.

I've been taking Zoe to Oates since she was a pup almost fourteen years ago-a good age for a Golden.
Carol, Monica, Bill and the staff could not be better.
We prefer to make appointments to minimize waits.
We make every attempt to work in seriously sick or injured pets as soon as possible.
However, there may be times when we will be unable to do so, and we will recommend other emergency services to reach out to.
A doctor can almost always be reached by calling our regular number, and you will be given an emergency number to call.
If you have an emergency and cannot reach a doctor, please call the West Central Ohio Veterinary Emergency Service at 419-221-0269.
