Dr. Lucas "Luke" Bevis is a Tallahassee native who throughout his life watched and learned true compassion for animals from his father, Dr. Tom Bevis, who founded Bevis Veterinary Hospital in 1979.
After graduation from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011, Dr. Luke joined his fathers' practice located at its original location.
Becoming a second-generation veterinarian who is following in his father's footsteps and success can be challenging at times but also extremely rewarding.

Dr. Shaughnessy Tuten is a southern Jefferson County native and currently resides in Monticello with her husband Christopher, and two sons, Hugh and Gus.
After receiving her Bachelors in Animal Science from FAMU, Dr. Tuten graduated from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014.
Following graduation, she completed an internship at Capital Veterinary Specialists rotating between small animal medicine and surgery.
In 2016, Dr. Tuten joined Bevis Veterinary Hospital as an Associate Veterinarian.

This is going to be a "modified curbside" service to start with, which means we are now giving patients the option of coming inside with your pet for their appointment (masks required), or if you're more comfortable, you may stay in your vehicle for curbside service.
Whether you'd like to come in with your pet, or continue with curbside, please call the office upon arrival, 850-878-1880, and a Bevis Vet staff member will come to escort you & your pet(s) into the building if you choose to join your pet for their appointment.
