Services
Central Valley Animal Hospital is located in the heart of the Flathead Valley in Kalispell, Montana.
Beneath the shadow of Glacier National Park, we serve our clients from all over Northwest Montana and Canada along with visitors to our scenic area.
Our team is comprised of compassionate, skilled, and personable veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and veterinary support staff.
Each member of our team contributes knowledge and experience in a wide array of companion animal care.
We are experienced in dealing with all aspects of care from conception to our last goodbyes.
Our pediatric patients are often sent home with a dewormer to clear their system of common intestinal parasites they come in with.
Because our area has a high prevalence of intestinal parasites including giardia which is transmissible to people, we recommend a fecal parasite count at the end of the puppy deworming series, and annually thereafter.
For this, it is helpful to bring a fresh stool sample with you to your pets annual wellness exam.
For those of us with pets catching mice, finding the occasional scrap of raw meat, or being fed a raw diet, we may add a different dewormer to the protocol so please let us know if this is the case.
Digital Radiology is an advanced technology allowing a rapid view of many parts of the body.
The advancements in imaging allow us to achieve ideal magnification, contrast, and resolution without repeat exposure to radiation.
While widely recognized as a tool to identify broken bones, radiology also allows us to diagnose many other conditions from GI foreign bodies to heart and lung pathology.
We also have PENN Hip Certified staff to help determine hip quality of breeding animals along with OFA Certification.
Our surgeons are skilled in their trade, and we offer a wide array of surgical procedures from routine spay/neuter to extensive orthopedic repairs and tumor removals in house.
Our surgical suite is complete with sterilized surgical equipment, gas anesthesia machines, anesthetic monitoring equipment (to monitor heart rate and rhythm, oxygen saturation, CO2 output, and respiration rate), circulating warming blanket, fluid pumps, and electrocautery (to minimize bleeding during surgery).
Our staff is happy to provide you with a line by line estimate and explanation of our surgical costs prior to surgery.
Our trained technical staff perform our dental cleaning procedures under veterinary direction and anesthetic care.
Preventative dental care can be achieved through routine cleanings with our ultrasonic scaler and teeth polishing.
Dental exams and any necessary extractions are performed by our veterinarians.
Our dentals are performed at our wet table dental suite equipped with anesthesia machines, fluid pumps, dental machine, and hand tools.
Dental home care consultations are provided with discharge of all dental patients.
