The top items to look for when searching on your own for pet food are the following: seek established reputable companies, use companies that have their own manufacturing facility (have their own phone number on the label), and choose foods that meet AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials) feeding trials (this will be on the label).
Vaccinations are one of the cornerstones to preventive care.
Puppies and kittens should receive vaccines every 3-4 weeks until they are at least 16 weeks of age to ensure that the puppy or kitten's immune system has been completely stimulated.
Maternal antibodies from the mother's milk can be present in your pet's system up to approximately 4 months of age, and can be interacting with the vaccine in place of your pet's immune system.
Consult your veterinarian for an appropriate vaccination schedule for your pet.
