Our recommendations to clients regarding the care of their pets has always been to offer the best possible options with the realization that some clients' financial situations may not allow them to afford all services and treatments recommended.
This understanding gives us the opportunity to promote appropriate treatments that maintain the pet's health while strengthening the client-patient-veterinarian bond. Ark Animal Hospital was originated in 1984 by Dr. John Hetzler. In 2008, Dr. Lianne Chu joined Dr. Hetzler as an associate veterinarian and in 2015 she took over as the owner. She has continued with Dr. Hetzler's vision in forming a veterinary practice utilizing the highest quality of medicine while still considering all variables involved.

Services
We have a divided lobby area to help keep pets separated, and we do our best to check patients into an examination room in a timely manner.
We ask that cats stay in their carriers and dogs be on a leash for their safety.
Free leashes are provided if needed.
Sadly not all dogs like each other and we prefer to avoid any "disagreements" in the lobby.
In order to keep the atmosphere as calm as possible we make use of Feliway feline pheromone spray, and Adaptil canine pheromone spray, to reduce stress in our patients in exam rooms, and while hospitalized.

Desi's teeth looked like they had a lot of plaque build up and I felt like they looked pretty bad so he got a cleaning and 8 teeth pulled.
After the procedure I realized how much pain he must have been in.
He's eating without hesitation now and he's much more active and clearly happy.
Clearly this was a very important thing to do.
We have noticed a huge difference in Punkin since the dental surgery.
She has a lot more pep and is so much happier.
She wags her tail more, runs around, wants to play, etc, a lot more often.
