He earned his DVM in 1988 in India, his PhD in 1999 in Australia and his post doctorate in 2002 at the University of Michigan. He has published many research papers in peer-reviewed journals. He specializes in hormone related diseases, such as diabetes, Addison's and Cushing's disease and thyroid disorders. He also has a special interest in soft tissue and bone surgeries (anterior Cruciate ligament and luxating patella surgeries).
