The Animal Emergency Center (AEC) provides full service emergency and critical care for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, small mammals / pocket pets, reptiles and other exotics.
In fact, AEC is the only 24 hour emergency animal hospital in Southeastern Michigan with staff specifically trained and experienced in providing emergency care for exotic and avian species.
Our facilities are also the only 24 hour emergency hospitals in the area that are AAHA certified.
Animal Emergency Center will always utilize the most modern technology for patient treatment, but at the same time extend the most old-fashioned care, respect and compassion for our patients and their families.

Our surgery suites are equipped with heated surgery tables, fluid warmer, specialized lighting and anesthetic ventilator.

We have emergency and critical care expertise in treating all breeds of dogs and cats, as well as avian and most exotic pet species: We have helped rabbits, ferrets, rats, gerbils, hamsters and other pocket pets; turtles, lizards and other reptiles; and even the occasional kangaroo and wallaby.

Although no hospital can provide a diagnosis over the phone, we can offer emergency first aid tips and also identify symptoms or conditions that may indicate a need for immediate evaluation.
