Services
El Cerrito Veterinary Hospital was established in the 1930s.
The original hospital was not far from our current site, in a neighborhood known as El Cerrito.
We have enjoyed an excellent reputation over the years, largely because our philosophy is simple: Offer the very best in veterinary care at a fair price.
El Cerrito has thrived, based almost exclusively on word-of-mouth marketing.
We are fortunate that many of our clients have been bringing their pets to us for decades.
El Cerrito is family-owned and operated, catering to cats and dogs who are important family members too - something we never forget.
Our pets are a part of our family, and every responsible owner wants to ensure that their pets are in the very best of health.
The majority of conditions that animals are susceptible to have no obvious symptoms early on.
Once they do present themselves, many pets may already be suffering and may then require extensive medical assistance.
Your pet may not be able to tell you what is wrong, but our examinations aim to discover the source of any problem or indeed prevent them before they arise.
To help keep your pet in optimum health we recommend full nose to tail wellness examinations at least once per year.
El Cerrito has been absolutely amazing over the last 5 years.
Genuine and honest care for our dogs.
I recommend them to all of my family and friends seeking a vet, and have continued to use them even when we moved a 25-minute drive away.
Best Veterinary service ever!
I am so excited after losing our dog Sandy to old age under the best Veterinary 's ever, I will soon be bringing my new Puppy Scout to have a long, healthy life by being a patient doggie at El Cerrito Vet.
The doctors, front help, are always accommodating, pleasant, professional, and most of all animal loving!
Pets' teeth build up tartar and plaque just as ours do.
As the tartar builds up it causes gum recession and inflammation, a breakdown of the tooth's ligament attachments, and eventually tooth loss.
The bacteria associated with tartar is also a risk for infection, not only in the mouth but elsewhere in the body.
Regular cleaning is an important part of keeping your pet healthy.
Although cleaning without anesthesia is appealing, it does not properly get the job done and is actually poor tooth care.
