A Thousand Ways To Care We believe in providing gold-standard veterinary care to every dog and cat we see. But more than that, we believe in finding ways to make a difference in your life. This is veterinary care, reimagined. Because love deserves no less. A Thousand Ways There is magic in the love that you share with your pet. The way they make you feel.
The memories you share. The way they look at you like you're their whole world. Pets fill our lives with meaning, protectiveness, and love. We understand what it feels like to have a piece of your heart intertwined with a pet. We care for every dog or cat we see like we would our own. We protect them like we would our own. And because we care so deeply, we believe in making a difference in the lives you share in every way we can.
From teaching you, to showing you kindness, to making sure your pet has gold-standard veterinary care at every stage of their life. From Their Eyes We believe in reimagining the way that pets experience their trip to the vet.

Bringing your pet to our hospital at least once a year for a physical examination can aid in the early detection of serious illnesses.
During a physical exam with Dr. Vineyard, your pet is assessed from the tip of their nose to the tip of their tail.
Dr. Vineyard believes that educating each client on their pet's health is the foundation of the client/doctor relationship.
Each examination is scheduled so Dr. Vineyard has the appropriate time to communicate to each pet owner exactly what their pet needs to stay healthy.

Colony Veterinary Hospital features a complete in-house laboratory, which allows us to receive immediate results for pets with emergency or urgent care needs.
We also work with an external laboratory that can provide most results within 24 hours for all other types of tests.
Lab work is essential before any anesthetic procedure or diagnosis of an illness, but it also aids in the general maintenance of healthy pets.

Humans go to the dentist every six months for a dental cleaning.
However, we brush and floss every day and can still get cavities and gum disease.
Your pet does not have the luxury of being able to brush and floss their teeth daily and often have gum disease very early on in their lives.
Gum disease can cause bone loss, abscesses, tooth decay, and tooth loss.
We suggest that once your pet turns one that you bring them in for regular dental checks.
During the dental check, your pet's gums and teeth will be evaluated and a plan of action will be given.
