Shoreview North Oaks Animal Hospital is owned and operated by Emilee Alms, D.V.M., and her husband Kip. They are residents of the Arden Hills community, and are excited to provide top-notch care to the animals in their neighborhood. Dr. Emilee grew up in the neighboring community of Circle Pines, and she is excited to provide veterinary services to the pets in our community.
In 2009, she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Alyssa grew up in southern Ohio, surrounded by a variety of pets and farm animals. She graduated from The University of Minnesota with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. While she loves caring for all animals, Dr. Alyssa has a passion for feline medicine and behavior.
Lynne graduated from the Medical Institute of Minnesota in 1982. After working in the Shoreview area for many years, she accepted a position with Shoreview North Oaks Animal Hospital in 2004. Even as a small child Marissa knew she wanted to work in veterinary medicine.

To ensure a proper diagnosis, we often need to examine your pet.
We begin each exam with a medical assessment.
We start by looking at your pet's eyes, ears, and skin.
Next, we will examine the cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, and skeletal systems for any abnormalities.
We will perform blood and/or urine tests as necessary to check your pet's kidneys, liver, pancreas, and endocrine system -- including the thyroid and adrenal glands.

Staff will be meeting clients in the parking area and clients will not be permitted to enter our premises with the exception of urgent end of life care situations.
Clients will park on the east side of the building and call the office to notify the team of their arrival.

They will walk out into the parking lot to collect your pet.
