Helmed by Dr. Linda R. Elliott, Ahwatukee Commons Veterinary Hospital is a full-service animal companion medical care and boarding facility nestled in the foothills of Ahwatukee.
Dr. Elliott purchased the hospital in 1988.
Together, she and her compassionate team of skilled professionals have been providing exceptional veterinary care and customer service to the Phoenix area ever since.
Our facility is comfortable, clean, and designed with your pet's unique needs in mind.
Come to us for comprehensive preventative and dental care, surgical services, boarding, stem cell and laser therapy, advanced diagnostics, and more.
To apply for a currently open job, please appear in person at our practice and bring a copy of your resume.
We are seeking an energetic individual who works well in a team environment as well as independently for this Veterinary Kennel Attendant position.
The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic and show initiative.
Duties include running the day-to-day boarding facility within our veterinary hospital.
Caring for our boarding pets includes feeding, watering, walking, cleaning cages, laundry, pet "play-times, " and ensuring all patients receive their necessary care.
Your pet's health is always our number one priority, which is why for most pets we recommend annual wellness exams to ensure that your animal companion remains in good health.
If your pet is a senior-over seven for dogs, over nine for cats-we strongly suggest twice-yearly exams and blood screenings.
That's because pets age more rapidly than humans, meaning disease and illness develop faster as well.
Ahwatukee Commons Veterinary Hospital's veterinarian-performed physical exams comprehensively assess every aspect of your pet's health.
Imagine if you never brushed your teeth or had them cleaned.
Pretty frightening, right?
As you can imagine, things would eventually start to go very, very bad inside your mouth: teeth would rot and decay, gums would become inflamed and infected.
Bacteria from those rotting teeth would eventually travel into your bloodstream and could cause other serious health problems.
And we haven't even mentioned the daily, debilitating pain.
It's the same scenario for your dog or cat.
While some people might laugh at the idea of brushing their pet's teeth or taking them for a dental cleaning, the fact is that by age three, 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have some evidence of periodontal disease.
We love providing pet boarding for your dogs and cats!
At Ahwatukee Commons Veterinary Hospital's boarding facility, we care for both the physical and emotional well-being of your dogs and cats.
We understand that each animal responds differently to the stress of being away from home and family.
To best handle this anxiety, we show your pet that we are trusted friends.
We get to know the needs and desires of your individual pet, and keep you updated on your pet's health and well-being while they are with us by monitoring and recording their behavior.
