
Great Southern Animal Hospital has been a welcome facility for pets and their owners for the past 66 years. The long-term health and comfort of your dog or cat is very important to you, and we put their needs first when you trust your pet with us. Dr. Dustin Sears, and our friendly staff of veterinary technicians welcome patients from all over Columbus, Ohio, and surrounding areas, whether you need a check-up or exam, or a necessary surgical procedure.
We see dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and sizes, and have the knowledge and experience to handle their specific needs. We welcome animals to see us for their yearly examinations, vaccinations, along with dental care. We also have a Laboratory to conduct complete blood chemistry profiles, radiographs, heartworm, feline leukemia, FIV, intestinal parasite examinations as well as urine, allergy and cardiac screening.
We offer surgical care at our facility that utilizes presurgical blood evaluations, a sterile surgical suite, isoflurane anesthesia, electrocardiology, pulse monitoring, oxygen oximetry and histopathology.

Services
Dr. Sears graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in 1993.
He joined The Great Southern Animal Hospital Team as a Veterinary Assistant shortly after graduation.
He worked his way through Graduate School earning a Masters of Science in Molecular Genetics in 1996 and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000.
He remained on the Great Southern Animal Hospital Team for four years as an Associate Veterinarian.
In 2004, Dr. Sears became the Supervising Veterinarian and owner.
He joined The Great Southern Animal Hospital Team as a Veterinary Assistant shortly after graduation.
