German Village Veterinary Hospital
Our hospital provides examinations and surgical procedures with convenient hours to fit your schedule. We are located just minutes from downtown Columbus and the OSU campus. We have served these and surrounding areas as a number one choice for your veterinary needs for over 50 years. Our goal at German Village Veterinary Hospital is to provide the highest quality of veterinary care.

We strive to do this by treating your canine or feline friend not just as a pet, but as a part of our family. We understand that every dog and cat is unique; therefore our doctors develop individual treatment plans based on what would be best for both you and your pet. We make sure you are comfortable with all procedures by explaining all aspects and including you in the decision process.

In addition to scheduling specific appointment times, we also offer drop-off appointments for your cat or dog for our Columbus, Ohio clients! At German Village Veterinary Hospital, we support many organizations including the Franklin County Dog Shelter and Columbus Humane.
Services
We recommend Heartworm, Intestinal Parasite, Flea, and Tick Prevention year round.
We have many products for both dogs and cats that make it easy for your pet to be covered every month.
We also do annual heartworm test and fecal float test every 6 months as routine parasite detection.
Dental care is very important for every pet.
We will look at your pet's teeth during each exam.
Our veterinarians will also let you know when your pet is due for a dental cleaning under general anesthesia.
We are always happy to give you an estimate before any procedure.
At German Village Veterinary Hospital, we have a highly trained group of caring vets that will treat your dogs and cats with all of the compassion and care that they receive at home.
Our doctors, technicians, assistants, and receptionist are some of the best that you'll find and we take pride in our knowledge and abilities.
We look forward to meeting you and your pet!

To protect your pet from contagious diseases, keep their essential vaccinations up-to-date.
This is important even if your pet is kept mostly indoors.
Many contagious diseases are airborne and your pet could easily be exposed through an open window.
There is also always a risk that your pet could accidentally slip out the door.
Boarding kennels, dog parks and grooming salons are all areas where your pet is likely to be exposed to contagious diseases so be sure to consult with your veterinarian before taking your pet to any of these places.
Routine dental care for your dog or cat is just as important as your own.
Pets tend to develop gingivitis and tartar build-up because unlike humans, they do not brush their teeth on a daily basis.
Left untreated, it can cause pain for your pet, interfere with their eating, and even bacteria can spread to other organs in their body causing problems.
At German Village Veterinary Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, our vets offer teeth cleaning and advanced dental care for both cats and dogs.
Unlike when humans get their teeth cleaned, dogs, cats, and other animals will not sit cooperatively with their mouths open while we clean their teeth.
We have cat boarding available for existing clients and new clients.
You can board your cat with us and know that your purrfect friend will be taken care of by our skilled veterinary team.
Our exceptional staff will set up their own personal space with a soft blanket/bed, litterbox, food and water.
You are welcome to bring your own food, or we can provide them with food.
Feel free to also bring any toys or familiar items of theirs from home.
Your cat will be fed and have their space cleaned out twice daily.
