Bossier Animal Hospital was established in 1958 and has since been responsible for providing outstanding veterinary care. It has been under the management of Larry Snyder, Jr. D.V.M. since 1989. Our primary focus is on companion animal medicine and surgery. While we are a general practice that provides a variety of animal services; we pride ourselves in staying current with advancements in medicine and technology.

We do our best to make the quality medical care we provide affordable, in doing so, we strive to provide services tailored to each individual's specific needs. Veterinary Medicine and animal care is our passion as well as our profession. Working in this industry, we have one main focus, and that is the well-being of our client's pets'. We love what we do!

We live for what we do. We are obsessed, which is why we end up helping pets outside of our every-day-lives that don't have homes and loving families. We try our very best to help the strays in our community when circumstances allow (see our Adoptables tab).
Services
Meet the folks who make it all happen.
We see significant potential in every moment and genuinely care about what we do every day.
Our team reflects a group of diverse individuals with passion and determination across the board.
Typically in this profession, most individuals are in it for the outcome, not for the income, and we feel our staff embodies that completely.
We are here for your pets, to ensure all are as healthy as can be and to provide compassion when they aren't.
Dr. Tiffany Naar graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2016, and also attended the University of Missouri's College of Veterinary Medicine for her clinical training.
Assists in faster healing, decreased swelling, and aids in the release of natural endorphins for pain management.
It can also be used for patients who suffer from chronic osteoarthritis.
Dental prophylaxis is available with our ultrasonic scaler and polisher, along with surgical dental procedures.
Get a jump start on your pets' dental health.
Dentures are not an option for pets.
We have a full in-house pharmacy.
In doing so, this allows us to refill your pets' medication and prevention quickly and efficiently.
We purchase our pharmaceuticals directly from reputable distributors so that we can ensure that each product is stored appropriately.
By purchasing medications direct from the distributor, our products have a guarantee from the product manufacturers.
If you are buying your pet's prescriptions through your animal hospital, we can guarantee that these products are American-made and that the shipping process stays in the USA and away from third-party companies.
We customize our anesthetic protocol to best fit and improve the safety of each individual pet.
We strongly recommend the pre-anesthetic blood test for every procedure because it is significant information that can detect conditions that may prevent a successful outcome.
We place intravenous catheters to provide fluid support and to create an open line for medications in each procedure.
This fluid support helps speed the recovery from anesthesia.
We provide a variety of different injectable medications while in the hospital, and we dispense oral post-surgical pain management at discharge.
We do not routinely take in strays or unwanted animals.
We do our best to help the animals in our community when we are able and we can always help re-home pets by posting a courtesy post on our Facebook page.
With that being said, the adoptable animals in our care have usually been through some type of trauma so our goal is to rehabilitate these guys and adopt them out to a safe, loving, responsible home environment.
Our adoption fee is $40 and that money will be placed on an account we make for you so that you are able to use that $40 credit towards future veterinary care.
