Since our founding in 1999, our goal has been to honor and serve the human-animal bond by providing the best possible care to our clients and our patients. Dupont Veterinary Clinic is located in a beautiful modern facility centrally located on Coldwater Road on the north side of Fort Wayne. We are a larger practice with eight veterinarians and over 25 staff.
Still, we pride ourselves on being a local small business, owned and operated by Dr. Steve Harry, the original 1999 founder. We happily serve local animals, as well as pets in nearby Indiana towns like Huntertown, Leo, Grabill, and Garrett. Our larger staff and office hours weekdays from 8 am until 6 pm and Saturdays until noon allow us to see you quicker and to book appointments at convenient times.
This allows us to better address your pets' veterinary needs. Dupont Veterinary Clinic strives to offer good value, fair pricing, and flexible payment options. Dupont Veterinary Clinic accepts cash, checks (after the second visit), and all credit cards.

We understand the unique relationship that exists between people and their pets-we've heard it called the human-animal bond.
We prefer to call it love.
And we understand that when you lose a cherished pet, it hurts and you experience the same kind of grief that you would if you lost a human friend.
Sometimes we are able to take comfort in companionship of our pets when human relationships fail us.
Losing that unconditional love and affection can be heartbreaking.
A pet memorial helps us to say good-bye to a beloved pet and to keep alive the memory of our special bond with our pet.

One of the most common types of orthopedic lameness that we see is rupture of the Cranial (Anterior) Cruciate Ligament (ACL).
Factors such as anatomy, obesity, athleticism, degeneration of the ligaments, and arthritis probably all play a role in this disease process.
Dogs, like humans, can develop bad knees, especially in their senior years.
The general rule of thumb is that ruptured CCLs should be repaired in all dogs, unless there is some extenuating circumstance.
To diagnosis a ruptured CCL we start with palpation of the knee.

Endoscopy is a medical procedure whereby a flexible tube is used to examine the inside of the GI tract.
Endoscopy allows a non-invasive visual examination of internal organs and body parts without needing exploratory surgery.
The endoscope enters the body and is manipulated via control knobs located on a hand piece.
A special video camera attached to the instrument allows us to view the exam on a monitor and obtain pictures.
Endoscopy is both a valued diagnostic tool, as well as a highly effective procedure used to retrieve foreign material a pet has ingested.
