Potomac Animal Hospital is a full service, small animal medical and surgical facility in Potomac, MD. Our unique animal healthcare delivery system is designed to address the illness and disease of animals at multiple stages and to restore them to their highest potential for health and wellness. Our continuum of services includes boarding services, with the safety of animals as our highest priority, and aesthetic, professional grooming.
Potomac Animal Hospital was established in 1973 as a large and small animal practice. To keep up with changing demands, Dr. Scott gradually transitioned Potomac Animal Hospital into a state of the art small animal practice with grooming and boarding. Dr. Scott purchased the property and house adjacent to the hospital building in 1993 making way for plans to expand the hospital and build a boarding kennel.
For many years Dr. Scott was the sole veterinarian. As the practice began to grow the need for another veterinarian arose. In 1999, Dr. Scott's son, Dr. Jason Scott, joined the practice as a full time veterinarian.

Appointments are required and are available daily with our veterinarians.
Full dental services with performed with state of the art equipment, are provided by our veterinarians.
Services include scaling, polishing, digital oral radiography and continued dental care.
Dental services are scheduled on Tuesdays or on an as needed basis.

We perform routine bathing as well as professional grooming.
Potomac Animal Hospital currently has two, full time professional groomers along with a full time bather.
All grooming services include: bathing, nail trimming, outer ear cleaning and anal gland expression.
The bathing and grooming areas are joined by spacious, pass through dryers which have see-through doors so your pets can be monitored at all times.
We perform routine bathing as well as professional grooming.
Potomac Animal Hospital currently has two, full time professional groomers along with a full time bather.

All animals are examined by our Doctors and our veterinary technicians on a regular basis.
Our canine visitors are exercised every 2-3 hours in our indoor runs.
Meanwhile, our feline visitors are in a separate, quiet room in their individual condos.
VIP accommodations are available upon request.
We can also board your hamsters, guinea pigs, or other small friends upon request.
However, you will need to supply the cage, all bedding and food.
All animals are examined by our Doctors and our veterinary technicians on a regular basis.
