Founded by Dr. Albert Benson in 1953 and now run by his son Dr. Randy Benson, Benson Animal Hospital is fueled by an exemplary team of veterinarians and technicians who are honored to provide your pet comprehensive and compassionate medical care.
We are also looking to expand our team, and are actively seeking full-time and part-time veterinarians.
Albert Benson was born in Jackson Heights, NY and grew up in VA on a working dairy farm.
He first went to Auburn University on football and wrestling scholarships, then transferred to VPI (now known as Virginia Tech).

Yearly wellness visits, preventative check-ups, disease diagnosis and management, and emergencies that occur during business hours are all seen on a walk-in basis.
We are equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy in order to have precise and immediate in-house advanced imaging.
Routine preventative cleanings, dental x-rays, tooth extractions, and oral surgeries are performed by all of our veterinarians.
From routine spays and neuters to soft-tissue surgery, orthopedics to wound repair, we schedule surgeries in advance for client convenience.
