CVAC has been a fixture of veterinary medicine in Anchorage, Alaska for over forty years. Our mission is to supply the highest-quality veterinary care for your pets, while also providing personalized client care. Today, we would like you to consider us "Your Family's Other Doctors." We believe that the animals we treat are integral members of their families.

To honor this bond, we try to minimize the stress experienced by each animal during diagnostic procedures and treatment by providing comfortable conditions, individual attention and reassurance. We strive to recognize and relieve pain, show compassion where there is suffering and cure all ailments within our power. We also endeavor to show our concern to owners by taking time to listen to their concerns and to communicate and educate them as to the best options available.

Once you visit our veterinary clinic, we're convinced you won't want to go anywhere else. Join us each Thursday and let one of our veterinarians help your puppy become a more secure and happy part of your family!

We invite you to explore the biographies of our doctors and learn more about them.
Your pet is an important part of your family, and when he or she is ill, you want the best medical care available.
At CVAC we are able to provide medical services for dogs, cats, ferrets, birds, small mammals, small rodents, amphibians, fish and reptiles.
Fur, scales or feathers - we see them all!

From wellness exams and vaccines to advanced diagnostics and complex surgical procedures, your pet will receive high quality care at our hospital.
We believe preventative care is the best approach for long term oral health.
We recommend performing routine dental cleanings on your pet yearly.
Our hospital is well equipped to provide dental care services to include dental prophylaxis or cleaning and polishing, tooth extractions, digital dental radiography, oral surgery and root canals.
A dental cleaning includes an oral examination, ultrasonic scaling of the teeth, polishing of the teeth, full-mouth radiographs, and full mouth charting.
Dental radiographs (x-rays) are an essential tool used in the dental diagnostic work up.
There are many common orthopedic issues that can be helped or corrected by the surgical services offered by CVAC, and our primary orthopedic surgeon Dr. Alison Capitan.
Orthopedic problems are those that involve bones, joints, ligaments and muscles.
A thorough orthopedic exam, radiographs (x-rays), and specialized procedures may be required to make the diagnosis in these complex cases.
We know that when your pet is not feeling well you want answers and you want them quickly.
Our talented and committed staff, combined with the most advanced diagnostic equipment, will help us to get to that diagnosis as quickly as possible.
At CVAC you get the very best veterinary medicine all in one location saving you time and money and sparing your pet the wait for diagnosis and treatment.
We have fully digital radiology, an ultrasound and endoscope.
Along with our in-house equipment, we utilize one of the nation's largest reference laboratories in order to provide a full list of laboratory testing.
