Dr. Tremper was about 14 when he started working with animals.
His job working on a farm gave him a chance to spend time with animals of all sizes.
He graduated from Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1965.
Dr. Tremper worked first with small and large animals, eventually choosing to focus on small animals.
He founded Ulster Animal Hospital in 1974 and has served pets and those who love them ever since.
Dr. Tremper has been happily married since 1965 and is the father of 7 children and the grandfather of 16.
