We are driven to further the knowledge of our clients and staff, be leaders in the equine veterinary community and provide the most current, skilled veterinary care for our patients. Rhinebeck Equine is an exclusively equine practice located in Dutchess County about 120 miles north of NYC, in the Hudson River Valley. The practice was founded in the 1940's by Dr. Kenneth Gumaer, and began its equine focus in 1967, when Dr. Ronnie Miller was joined by Dr. Paul Mountan.
Renamed Rhinebeck Equine in 1996, the practice's veterinarians have been providing quality care to the equine population of New York's Hudson Valley for nearly 75 years. This experienced and trusted practice has progressively grown into a comprehensive medical and surgical center serving the needs of horses throughout the Northeast. Our hospital, opened in 2002, is staffed by two board-certified equine surgeons and an internal medicine specialist.
Our specialists are supported by four talented interns and a team of highly experienced veterinary technicians and support personnel.
