Thank you for exploring the benefits associated with professional, in-home veterinary care for your four-legged family. We know how stressful it can be for your dog or cat to be driven to a foreign location (especially cats, who don't seem to enjoy car rides), sit in a waiting room full of strange smells, people and animals, and then be poked and prodded on a cold exam table.
Utilizing a professional house call veterinary service reduces stress for both the pet and the owner by allowing your pet to be examined in the comfort of familiar surroundings, while minimizing wasted time for the owner (no time spent travelling or sitting in a waiting room). In particular, end-of-life services can be much more personal and less traumatic for all when performed in the comfort of your own home.
Dr. Mark Peters has over three decades of veterinary experience as the owner/practitioner of a full service animal hospital in Council Bluffs, IA. Hearing his clients frequently express their desire for in-home veterinary care, he decided to sell his practice and create Omaha-Council Bluffs HouseCall Veterinarian.

Services
After practicing veterinary medicine in a traditional office setting for over three decades, I decided to make a drastic change in 2013: I closed my practice and began a veterinary house call service.
This change of direction resulted not only from requests by existing clients, but also due to my fundamental beliefs regarding animal health and welfare and the changes I've seen in veterinary medicine over the course of many years.
There are two primary points I want to convey to you.
When I engage in a doctor/client/patient relationship, my paramount objective is to act in the best interests of both client and patient.

These include arthritis, allergies, skin problems/itching, eye and ear problems, coughing, sneezing, vomiting.

Dealing with the impending loss of a beloved pet is one of the most difficult circumstances for a pet parent.
As your pet's health declines due to age or illness, it's necessary to weigh all of your options, make sure your pet is getting the care he/she needs, and most importantly, ensure that your pet is not suffering.
Not every pet will exhibit an outward sign that they are suffering, like wincing, wimpering, growling or meowing.
Watch for behavioral signs such as excessive panting, shortness of breath, hiding or being reclusive, sleeping longer than normal, and aggression.
