They both studied veterinary medicine at Iowa State University and began practicing in Council Bluffs after graduation. They have been married since 1983 and have two children, Amber and Austin. She joined the practice and entered the 3rd generation of veterinarians in the family. Their son, Austin, lives in Iowa and is practicing as a retina surgeon.

Dr. Barbara Lee is a graduate from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Lee has been practicing in the metro area since 1982 and founded Valley View Veterinary Practice in 2004.
She grew up in Orono, MN where she loved to show horses and do PCRA barrel racing.
Dr. Lee has been involved in several organizations in the community and is currently a member of The Pottawattamie Board of Health and SOLAS (Support Our Local Animal Shelter).
Dr. Lee loves to travel and spend time with her children and grandchildren.
