Your pets are an important part of your family -- and like other family members, they're more comfortable at home amidst familiar faces and surroundings. That's why City Pets Vets is the first choice for so many Manhattan dog and cat owners. Under the leadership of Dr. Amy Attas, City Pets provides mobile concierge veterinary services by bringing high-quality medical evaluations, treatments and advice directly to you and your pets.
We know how careful you are to ensure your pet's comfort and emotional security, but a visit to the veterinary hospital is a stressful experience. Make the experience less stressful for your pets with a City Pets house call. Being transported in a taxi (maybe even in a carrier) through the bustling streets of Manhattan. Wasting your valuable time traveling to the hospital waiting for the doctor and then bringing your pet home again.
At-home care eliminates all these issues. Our concierge veterinary services enable you to remain comfortably at home with your pet as we come to you, equipped with everything we need to provide necessary care.

City Pets is Manhattan's premier home veterinary practice.
Founded by Dr. Amy Attas upon her vision that Manhattan's dogs and cats should receive the highest quality veterinary care in the comfort of their own homes, Dr. Amy and her team have provided medical care for thousands of New York City's pet cats and dogs and their families since 1992.
Dr. Amy graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and she now serves on the School's Board of Overseers.
After graduation, she was selected for a highly sought-after internship at the Animal Medical Center and spent four years in a Manhattan veterinary practice (occasionally doing house calls).

After four years in an Upper East Side Animal Hospital, in 1992 she decided to go the extra step in providing excellent veterinary care for her patients and convenience for their families by starting City Pets, which today is the premier veterinary house call practice.
In addition to her veterinary practice, Dr. Amy serves on the Board of Overseers of the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania-her alma mater.
She is also a Trustee of the EcoHealth Alliance -- one of the world's premier conservation organizations -- and she is an active fundraiser for the Wildlife Conservation Society.

James began his professional career by serving in the United States Navy as an aviator.
Upon completion of his military obligation he returned to college to earn his Master's degree in Health Care Administration, and after a brief stint working in the human health care field, he found his way to Animal Medical Center in Manhattan.
Thus began what has now been close to thirty years of happily fulfilling a wide variety of management roles in the veterinary field, playing an integral part in helping pets, and their human caregivers, in whatever way he can.

Jeanine is a licensed veterinary technician (LVT) who has been with City Pets since 2008.
She graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at LaGuardia Community College in 2000 after which she gained practical experience in a number of different small animal hospitals.
Although she never had animals when growing up, she always knew that she was "born" to work with and help them.
She is proud to be part of the City Pets team where she continues to build special relationships with our clients and their pets.
