We are also a small, locally owned and operated practice, and part of our mission is to build a lifelong relationship with you and your four-legged friend.
Services
Our hospital was established in Hinesville as a full-service animal hospital more than 40 years ago, when it was called Liberty Veterinary Clinic.
In the summer of 2013, we entered a new era when our hospital was purchased by Dr. Christa Parrish-Ahrens.
With the purchase also came the full renovation, name change, and modernization of the practice as well as earning the honor of AAHA accreditation.
Becoming AAHA accredited is an accomplishment that only three other veterinary hospitals in greater Savannah have achieved.
Dr. Christa Parrish-Ahrens is our practice owner.
She purchased the practice from Dr. Maurice Sweat in August of 2013, which was then Liberty Veterinary Clinic.
Liberty Veterinary Clinic previously served the Hinesville community for over 40 years.
An alumni of prestigious Auburn University, Christa received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005 and her Bachelor of Science degree in animal and dairy science from the College of Agriculture in 2001.
Jessie is the Office Manager of Liberty Veterinary Medical Center.
She began her career in veterinary medicine after she graduated from Long County High School in 2007 and began working as a veterinary assistant with Dr. Maurice Sweat for Liberty Veterinary Clinic.
In 2013, Dr. Christa Parrish-Ahrens purchased the practice and pursued her career in management and leadership.
Rewarding moments include the building of relationships with the clients and patients throughout the years, which she finds fulfilling.
Below are the reviews from our patients who have experienced real and lasting results from Liberty Veterinary Medical Center.

Tartar buildup can cause more than just bad breath.
Did you know that, if allowed to progress, oral bacteria can eventually lead to tooth and gum disease, which can cause heart, lung, and kidney issues?
It can also be fatal in its most advanced stage.
Dental disease can also be quite painful, and unfortunately, it's also quite common in pets.
In fact, more than 50% of dogs and cats have some form of dental disease by 3 years of age.
The most common dental question we receive from pet owners is "Can you fix my pet's bad breath?"
