Capital Heights Veterinary Clinic is a small animal veterinary practice in the heart of the Mid-City/Goodwood area. We strive to deliver quality care to pets with a focus on personal service and convenience in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We provide general veterinary care to companion animals, including rabbits and "pocket pets." Our services include wellness exams and parasite testing, vaccinations, microchipping, surgery, and dentistry.
We also offer boarding, day care, and bathing. Drop-off service for checkups and minor problems is available for a small additional fee and is scheduled in advance. Established in 1973 as Mistretta Veterinary Clinic, our clinic has been providing quality care to Baton Rouge pets for over forty years. Dr. Bernard Mistretta is now retired and his practice philosophy remains the cornerstone of the clinic.

A native Texan, Dr. Taylor has lived in Baton Rouge since 1986.
She graduated from the University of Texas in 1985 with a degree in zoology.
She attended LSU Vet School and graduated in 1993.
Since that time, she has practiced small animal medicine along with raising two daughters.
She and her husband live in the Goodwood area and have a small "backyard farm" where they keep a vegetable garden, citrus trees, laying hens and honeybees, three dogs and a cat.
