The prevention of disease and enhancement of healthy pets is the primary goal in good medicine.
Physical exams, vaccinations, parasite prevention, nutritional and behavioral issues are part of that program and help to ensure the health of your beloved pet.
We want to make sure that your pet is happy and healthy.
If we do find a medical issue, it will be far better that we catch it early than if it goes unnoticed.
Preventative medicine helps your pet live a long life by your side!
Tallmadge Animal Hospital offers a range of advanced medical and diagnostic services, including digital x-rays, ultrasound, endoscopy, and laboratory testing.
A visitor to Tallmadge Animal Hospital can expect to be greeted with an enthusiastic and talented staff member who cares deeply for the animals in our care.
Pet health and well-being is our primary concern, and communication with owners is of the highest priority.
Tallmadge Animal Hospital has a long history in the community.
The hospital was established in its current location at 107 West Avenue in 1967, under the ownership of Drs.
David Drenan and David Breiding.
Dr. Michael Andrews joined the practice in 1975 as a full partner, and is currently the president and owner.
There is a hole in our hearts where this Golden boy took up residence twelve years ago.
Robby was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma in August, a cancer that had attacked his spleen and metastasized to other organs.
Robby was an incredible dog.
He possessed every quality of a perfect companion: friendly, loving, gentle, loyal, intelligent, stoic, and special in every way.
He loved everyone and every living creature.
He was in his glory when people visited, especially the grandsons.
He greeted his favorite vet home from work with an excited dance every night.
One thing you can say about veterinary medicine is that it is rarely boring.
A typical day in an animal clinic may cover everything from pet health exams through major illnesses and surgery.
Each appointment is different and each patient is unique.
By the end of the day, the staff is exhausted and ready to.

We took our 9.5 wk old Golden Retriever puppy for her first appointment yesterday and were thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. Dr. Andrews is so knowledgeable about the breed, training and graciously answered our many questions as new puppy parents. The staff was welcoming and informative as well. Prices were reasonable also. I can say with confidence, we have found our vet!

Dr. Andrews is absolutely dedicated and devoted to the animals he cares for, and his staff is absolutely the sweetest group of people you could work with. Dr. Andrews was extremely compassionate and gracious to our pet when she was euthanized and we were so impressed by his professionalism but also his human pet loving side too. He has managed to get my dogs seizures and thyroid levels under control in a few months, and I am forever grateful as it took the previous vet years to fix. I absolutely recommend his practice to anyone. A great group of people and an unbelievably talented and kind man who understands what our pets mean to us.
