We are practicing social distancing procedures as suggested by the Alaska Department of Health & Social Services. These procedures are in place for your safety & the safety of our community. Please help us by following the instructions below. We are happy to announce that we are no longer requiring face masks to enter the building. We appreciate your compliance over the last year.

We still do not have our lobby fully open but do have 4 areas that can be used. If you come in and notice the waiting space is full, please step back outside until there is more availability. If you are uncomfortable with the lifted regulation, please let our staff know, we are happy to valet your pet. Our schedule is very full, and we are scheduling about a month out currently.

We are doing our best to work in the sick and injured pets we care for. Please help us provide those services by cancelling your appointment if you are unable to make it. Due to the higher demand, our clinic is now charging a No-Show Fee for missed appointments.
Services
Twin Cities Veterinary Clinic is a full-service small animal veterinary clinic providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care.
We provide a wide array of diagnostic services integrating extensive in-house laboratory testing with the use of external reference laboratories.
We strive to provide the most comprehensive pet care available on the Kenai Peninsula.
Our clinic facility houses a well-stocked pharmacy, a hospital surgery suite, digital x-ray & ultrasound units, as well as a state of the art in-house laboratory.
Our clinic has provided veterinary medical services to the greater Kenai/Soldotna community for over 30 years.
Twin Cities Veterinary Clinic was established in the the early 1980's by Dr. Steve Mersch, who started out in a rented office space just across street from where the clinic now resides.
Since its inception the clinic has grown from a one doctor practice to an active 4+ doctor office.
Dr. Steve worked diligently for over 20 years to establish a reputation for providing quality compassionate care to the residents and pets of this community.
Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination.
Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems.
Our hospital is equipped to provide in-patient diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.
Radiology Services: Our on-site modern X-ray equipment provides high quality digital radiographs (x-ray films) to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment.
Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable.
Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.
If you are more than 10 minutes late, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment.
For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date.
Unvaccinated patients place our staff and other hospitalized patients at risk and certain immunizations such as Rabies are required by Alaska State Law.
Many people have questions about various aspects of their pet's surgery, and we hope this information will help.
It also explains the decisions you will need to make before your pet's upcoming surgery.
Is the anesthetic safe?
Today's modern anesthetic monitors have made surgery much safer than in the past.
Here at Twin Cities Veterinary Clinic, we do a thorough physical exam on your pet before administering anesthetics, to ensure that a fever or other illness won't be a problem.
We also adjust the amount and type of anesthetic used depending on the health of your pet.
