In 1955, Dr. Marvin Rothman opened the doors to Rothman Animal Hospital and began his dream of providing the highest level of veterinary care for the community's pets, including birds, reptiles and other exotic animals. As the first veterinary hospital in the area at that time to offer avian and exotic expertise, the practice quickly gained a reputation for high-quality, comprehensive medical care.

In the early years of the practice, Dr. Rothman was a solo practitioner. He built the hospital based on a model of compassion for all creatures, and respectful understanding of owners' needs and concerns. Educating owners on keeping pets well was just as important as helping them care for their sick or injured pets. As the practice grew, so did its reputation.

Within a few years, more veterinarians joined Dr. Rothman, and today, the hospital is staffed by six dedicated, caring doctors. In its new, state-of-the-art facility across from the original location on Route 130 in Collingswood, Rothman Animal Hospital continues to deliver outstanding veterinary care and other services, under the direction of Dr. Mark Esser.
Services
Since its inception in the 1950's, Rothman Animal Hospital has provided veterinary care and rehabilitiation services for animals who need it most, thanks to its Stray Fund, which raises money to house and care for injured and sick animals until they are adopted into loving homes.
Working with Compassion for Camden, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and abused animals, Rothman Animal Hospital has helped save countless animals from serious illness and neglect, and has placed them in new homes, giving them a second chance at life.

Not vaccinating against other feline diseases is a risky proposition.

This includes not boarding your cat or admitting him to a veterinary hospital.
