The animal hospital, once called The Red Lion Animal Hospital, was started by Dr. Clark Maust in 1916.
It was a small practice that began as a single room attached to his garage on Pleasant View Street in Red Lion.
Initially, Dr. Maust serviced only large animals.
In 1959 he expanded the practice to include a waiting room, one exam room and kennels.

Very nice pet hospital.
We were extremely pleased.
Impressed by the education they give you as well.
Our dog had her teeth cleaned and the nurse spent 10 minutes going over post-op procedures.
I am extremely happy with the care that my puppy Cody received when he had his recent hip surgery.
I highly recommend Patton Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Spencer consistently provides excellent care to my little ones (2 Siamese cats).
In addition to her thorough examinations, and attention to detail, she makes me feel like she treats my cats as her own.

If the Benadryl is not resolving the itchiness within 7 days, then we recommend scheduling an exam with one of our veterinarians.
Since bee stings and other bug bites can quickly lead to anaphylactic shock (a severe allergic reaction beyond just a swollen face), we recommend that you schedule an exam with one of our veterinarians immediately.
Aspirin is more likely to cause stomach ulcers, vomiting and kidney failure if not appropriately used.
We recommend that you do not give aspirin unless directed by a veterinarian.
