Dental care is vital to the overall health of any animal.
Dental disease can lead to health issues with the heart, liver, and kidneys, and can affect the entire body through the bloodstream.
In fact, 80 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats over three years of age suffer from some form of dental disease, making it the most common pet health issue among our pet population.
In spite of these disturbing facts, many pet owners are not aware of the importance of dental care to their pet's health.
There are a lot of different ways to improve your pet's dental hygiene, including home brushing, dental chews, and regular inspection.
Here at Clay Road Animal Clinic, we are proud to offer Magna Wave Therapy for our patients.
It is our goal to stay up on the latest technologies in veterinary medicine.
One way that we do this is by offering Magna Wave Therapy.
This therapy has been used in humans for years and it helps to treat pain and swelling.
It also helps wounds and broken bones to heal faster.
Magna Wave therapy is a safe alternative to medications since it does not have any side effects.
We can even control the intensity of the waves, depending on the animal and their reaction.
We are proud to provide Houston and Katy and surrounding communities with state-of-the-art veterinary surgical procedures.
We believe in utilizing the highest level of medical technology, and our surgeons are experienced and highly trained.
We also realize that it can be stressful to have your pet undergo surgery.
We want to assure you that your pet is in good hands, and that we will do everything to provide the best care possible.
We will communicate with you about the things you need to know before, during, and after your pet's surgery.

Dr. Smith is a knowledgeable and experienced veterinarian, who is one in a million when it comes to caring for and about animals! He is genuine and down to earth with people and animals, and we all love him for it. Even timid animals, like my dog, are put at ease by Dr. Smith & his staff. He gets down on the floor to their level, talks to them in a kind voice, and works his magic😊. Meanwhile, his staff are petting & holding the animal while necessary procedures are taken care of, and it’s all over before the pet knows what happened. Clay Road Animal Clinic’s prices are reasonable and they never push unnecessary procedures or surgeries.
The clinic was flooded during Hurricane Harvey, and expensive infrastructure, equipment, and computers were destroyed, but they actually managed to work temporarily outdoors in a structure that had only a roof. Dr. Smith also got a mobile clinic, which he used for simple surgeries and procedures. He saw my dog outdoors, where he and his staff were working in 100-degree weather. They were using cell phones to conduct business, couldn’t find much of their equipment, and had no bathroom. Yet these heroes did it for several months and managed to be there for their patients whenever possible. They moved back into the clinic right around Thanksgiving and are bravely trying to tame the chaos of a flooded and damaged building while still remaining professional. Dr. Smith and his staff have demonstrated for many years and sometimes under unimaginable conditions that they will be there for their clientele. I highly recommend them!!!
