Robert W. Hoppe, D.V.M., purchased the St. Johnsbury Animal Hospital in 1990, and moved his young family to St. Johnsbury, Vt from southern Vermont. After graduating from the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in 1977, he worked in mixed (small and large animal) veterinary practices in New York State and Vermont. In the early 1980's, he received a Master's Degree in reproductive physiology while attending the University of Wisconsin as a graduate student.
Rob enjoys working with dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, chinchillas, other pocket pets, and reptiles. He tries to provide a healthy life for the animals he sees in a compassionate manner. Rob, along with his wife Kris, have enjoyed raising their 3 children to adults, in an environment where they could enjoy the outside activities that Vermont offers and run a successful veterinary practice.
Shawntel Sechrist, D.V.M. joined the St. Johnsbury Animal Hospital in 2009. Dr. Sechrist graduated from North Carolina State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001.
