Texting & mobile app communications are NOT for after-hours emergencies; we will not see your message or be able to respond until the next business day! Allegheny North Veterinary Hospital provides complete medical, surgical, and dental care to dogs and cats in the Greater Pittsburgh area. Our experienced team of veterinarians and certified technicians make your pet's health and well being a priority, and we work hard to provide the best possible pet care at an affordable price.

We believe that "prevention is the best medicine" - this is achieved through wellness examinations, nutritional management, vaccines, routine blood tests, and dental care. By preventing disease and detecting it early, we can work with you to help you spend more years with your dog or cat. We believe in building a foundation for health through prevention and early detection of disease.

To provide the best veterinary care for your pets, we have developed a comprehensive, affordable Senior Wellness Program that help our veterinarians diagnose conditions sooner to improve the efficacy of treatment, prolong quality of life, and reduce the long-term cost of care.
Services
From routine exams to urgent emergencies, our veterinary medical team is prepared to provide quality medical care for your pet at an affordable price.
Payment is due at time of service; if needed, financing options are available through CareCredit.
We recommend annual wellness visits for all dogs and cats.
A full physical exam each year allows the veterinarian to check your pet from nose to tail for signs of underlying conditions.
We believe that prevention is the best medicine: by finding disease early, it is often easier - and less costly - to treat.

We know your pets are part of the family, so we want to help make sure they are healthy as they enter their golden years.
Just as in humans, a senior pet's health can change each year, sometimes sooner.
Routine health care visits are recommended every 6 months to monitor for and treat common diseases found in senior pets.
Common diseases include, but are not limited to: cancer, cardiovascular disorders, endocrine disorders, orthopedic disorders, and neurological disorders.
During your pet's semi-annual visit, we can discuss different monitoring options to screen for these conditions.
