Salty Paws Veterinary Hospital
We are excited to share our State-of-the-Art facility with you and your pet. Our hospital is inspired by our profound love for the companion animal, the Chesapeake Bay and the surrounding areas. Puppy socialization allows puppies to develop social skills during a crucial period in their upbringing which will help prepare them for any future interactions.

Fear Free veterinary visits eliminate fear, anxiety, and stress, and create an experience that is better and safer for all involved, including pets, owners, and veterinary health care teams.
Services
Founded in 2016, Fear Free provides online and in-person education to veterinary professionals, the pet professional community, and pet owners.
Our courses are developed and written by the most respected veterinary and pet experts in the world, including boarded veterinary behaviorists, boarded veterinary anesthesiologists, pain experts, boarded veterinary internists, veterinary technicians (behavior), experts in shelter medicine, animal training, grooming, boarding and more.
By closely listening to the needs of the profession and those of pet owners, Fear Free has become one of the single most transformative initiatives in the history of companion animal practice, providing unparalleled education on emotional well-being, enrichment and the reduction of fear, anxiety and stress in pets.
Veterinary Technicians act as the pet nurses in the animal medical field.
Their many jobs may include, but are not limited to: preparing an animal for surgical procedures; performing anesthesia and monitoring; drawing blood for various tests; giving vaccines and educating clients under the care of the Veterinarian.
An LVT must complete a veterinary technician program from an accredited school, as well as pass a national exam at the end of their training.
Once they have completed their training program, continuing education is required to keep members current with changing medical procedures.
