Services
We offer a number of veterinary services at The Animal Hospital at Rice Hope.
We know that visits to the veterinarian are often scary times for your pet, and we take pains to treat your pet as though it were our own.
Everyone strives to create a loving, caring atmosphere to better allow your nervous family member to relax while we ensure total health.
Firstly, our pets can't speak, they cannot tell us if they feel off color or unwell or have any other indicators of internal illness.
We need to examine them every 6 months as well as run some routine screening tests to detect underlying disease BEFORE it is clinically apparent.
Use the age chart below to find your pets age in "people" years and the screening testing recommended for each stage of his or her life.
We believe the following tests give us the best chance of helping your pet's live longer, healthier lives.
Many people have questions about various aspects of their pet's surgery, and we hope this information will help.
It also explains the decisions you will need to make before your pet's upcoming surgery.
Today's modern anesthetic monitors have made surgery much safer than in the past.
Here at Animal Hospital at Rice Hope, we do a thorough physical exam on your pet before administering anesthetics, to ensure that a fever or other illness won't be a problem.
We also adjust the amount and type of anesthetic used depending on the health of your pet.
Here are some questions/answers that we are frequently asked.
If you have additional questions that aren't covered here, please feel free to give us a call at (912)965-0330.
Can I make payments?
Payment is required at the time of service, but we have recommendations such as Scratch Pay and Care Credit that allow payments.
At what age can I have my pet spayed or neutered?
Spaying or neutering can be done at approximately 6 months of age.
Your pet is given an exam prior to surgery to help determine whether your pet is healthy enough to undergo the surgical procedure.
Our clean and spacious boarding facility offers owners peace of mind while away on vacation or business!
At The Animal Hospital at Rice Hope, a dedicated boarding staff makes certain your pet is safe and comfortable when he needs a place to stay.
New indoor boarding runs offer a climate-controlled area to sleep, relax and eat, and our outside running yards provide plenty of opportunities for exercise.
All yards are fenced for privacy.
If Fido gets dirty or needs a routine hygiene service while under our care, never fear!
