Dr. Silverstein established Heritage Animal Hospital in April in 1991.
He is a 1988 graduate of the University of Illinois College Of Veterinary Medicine and also holds a B.A. in biology from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.
Professional affiliations include the AVMA, AAHA, AAFP, IAVPM, and MVMA.
Dr. Silverstein has a special interest in technology and its applications to diagnosis and patient care.

To become a CVT, a person has to graduate from an accredited program, pass a national examination, and go to a minimum of 10 hours of continuing education courses every 2 years.
CVTs take x-rays, give injections, run lab tests, prepare the patient for surgery, monitor anesthesia, perform dental cleanings, educate clients, and much, much more.
Furthermore, our CVTs manage our radiology safety department, help us to meet OSHA standards, take care of equipment maintenance, and handle our inventory to make sure we are always equipped for your next food request, medication refill, or medical emergency.
