Woodland serves all of Jefferson City and its surrounding area. We are located on the east end, making it especially convenient for Linn, Taos, and Loosecreek. If you meet our veterinarians, you will love them. We even have clients that continue to come to them while living in Columbia, at The Lake, and in Springfield. When it comes to your beloved pets, you want to know you are getting the best care in a safe, comfortable environment.

Woodland Animal Hospital is a place where both you and your pets can feel at home. We understand that your pets are part of your family. You love and cherish them and want a vet who will care for them like her own. Whether it's your first pet or one you've had in your family for years, you can trust Dr. Groner, Dr. Roller, Dr. Guhlincozzi, and the Woodland staff to provide the love and care your pet deserves.

Make an appointment to meet us today! A detailed history will be taken over the phone, call when you arrive and a staff member will come out with paperwork for you to sign and to retrieve your pet.
Services
Woodland Animal Hospital is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical and surgical care.
At Woodland Animal Hospital we strive to offer not only sound advice, but also optimal veterinary care, thus allowing you the enjoyment of your companion for a maximum number of years.
Our job is not only to treat your pet when he or she isn't feeling well, but also to help you learn how to keep your four-legged family member happy and healthy.
We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories.
I wish to say a couple of words about my staff as they are far too humble to toot their own horn.
April Dyer, my office manager, is really far too skilled just to give her one title.
Her patience and ability to multitask keeps our team running cohesively.
She has an intuitive sense about animals and their behavior.
She might have been born with this quality or she might have obtained it at a young age when her Grandpa would throw her on the back of a newly purchased horse to see if it was "broke to ride yet."
Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination.
Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems.
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
Our in-house lab allows us to make very quick assessments of our sick patients so that we can provide the most appropriate care immediately.
Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures.
I grew up in Jefferson City and had every intention of leaving small town life once I left for college.
I earned my BA from the University of Notre Dame in 1987.
From there I moved to Chicago, IL and worked in finance and investments for several years.
It was at this time I realized that there was no position on the corporate ladder that I wanted more than pursuing a career combining my love of animals and life long interest in medicine.
After graduating from the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine I worked in Springfield, Illinois as a General Practitioner by day and an Emergency Clinician at night.
I grew up in Linn, MO, and graduated from Helias High School here in Jefferson City.
I then attended MU, earning a B.S. in Animal Science.
I am married with three great kids, three dogs and two cats.
I am also a Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator.
In the springtime, our little zoo will fluctuate with babies as I greatly enjoy taking in orphaned and injured babies.
Over the years, my family has enjoyed raising and releasing raccoons, opossums, kittens, rabbits, squirrels, and even a flying squirrel.
