We are a full-service small animal and equine facility, conveniently located on Route 7A in Manchester, Vermont. Aeolus is equipped with 24 hour emergency care and monitoring. We hope to see you soon for your pet's annual check up! Aeolus Animal Hospital & Equine Center strives to bring the latest technological advances to our clients without sacrificing personal attention.

We will continue to educate ourselves in the newest forms of treatment for our patients. We will provide our clients with the information they need to work as a team in providing the best care for their pets.
Services
For established Aeolus clients please call 802-362-2241.
After hours your call will be forwarded to an answering service that will contact the Vet on call.
Our normal business hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm with our last appointment scheduled at 4:30 pm.
Saturdays we are staffed from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm with our last appointment at 11:00 am.
We will make every attempt to provide the best care possible for your pet, but please understand that this sometimes requires a referral to an emergency hospital that is staffed 24 hours a day.
Our hospital offers complete boarding facilities for your dog, cat, or exotic pet.
A healthy environment and the comfort of your animal is of the utmost importance to us as caretakers.
All boarders must be up to date on vaccinations and have documentation of current vaccines prior to their boarding reservation.
Special considerations will be made on a case by case basis.
Directions from the North (Rutland): Take Route 7 South through Wallingford and Danby.
Bear right onto Historic Route 7A towards Manchester.
You will pass the Chantecleer Restaurant on the right.
Continue 3/10 mile.
After the Dorset Cemetery, turn right at the Dorset Business Park (Harmony Lane).
If you pass Petry's garage on the right, you went too far.
Aeolus Animal Hospital & Equine Center is the brown cedar building on the right at the top of the hill.
Directions from Manchester (Town): Take Route 7A North 2.5 miles.
Robert J. Wendell, DVM, MS, graduated in a dual degree program, receiving a master's degree in cardiac physiology, as well as his DVM from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988.
Bob practiced in New Hampshire before moving to Vermont in 1990.
He founded Aeolus Animal Hospital & Equine Center in the fall of 1992.
Dr.
Bob's special interest lies in equine medicine and surgery.
He performs all of the equine anesthesia and cardiopulmonary monitoring for the hospital.
Prior to and during veterinary school, Bob worked as an equine anesthesia technician at The Ohio State University for 6 years.
