Services
It's our goal to see that your companion gets the same exceptional care we'd want for our own pets.
As a loving pet parent, your goal is to help your furry family member enjoy as many happy, healthy years as possible.
The best way to achieve that goal is to partner with someone you can trust.
The team at Family Pet Hospital is ready, willing, and able to step in and take on that important role.
In fact, we've designed our entire system of care with your companion's wellbeing in mind.
Whether it's your puppy's first checkup, specialized care for your senior cat or any of the milestones along the way, you can count on us.
Your pet's world revolves around its mouth, and that makes dental care vital to his or her overall health and longevity.
In this way pets are just like people, and the fact is that most pets over three already have some signs of periodontal (dental) disease.
Unfortunately, many pet parents don't pay attention to their pet's mouth until they're forced to do so by terrible doggy breath, a pet that has trouble eating, or obviously feels unwell.
At that point, a lot of teeth and gum damage has probably already occurred, requiring extensive cleaning, extractions, and or oral surgery to fix.
Every year thousands of stray and unwanted animals are euthanized in shelters across the United States.
Many of these deaths are the avoidable result of owners failing to spay and neuter their pets.
Even if you keep a close watch on your pet, accidents happen, and unexpected offspring means more animals that won't be given the chance at full, happy lives.
Spaying and neutering can help end this cycle, and both procedures can have health benefits for pets.
Spaying (ovariohysterectomy) is a common surgical procedure performed on female cats and dogs and involves removing the patient's uterus, ovaries, and fallopian tubes, rendering the animal incapable of reproduction.
Surgery is often the most effective way to treat many serious injuries and disorders, and Family Pet Hospital is proud to offer state-of-the-art facilities and equipment.
Patient safety and comfort are our main priority.
Family Pet Hospital's experienced veterinary anesthesiologists provide skilled pain management during and after all surgical procedures, ensuring your pet recovers quickly and with minimum discomfort.
Our veterinary team will walk you through the entire process, giving you the tools to make informed decisions regarding your pet's treatment options.
Family Pet Hospital offers affordable, after-hours urgent care in the Woodstock area from 6:00 pm - 12:00 am (midnight) every night of the week.
When does your pet need urgent care?
Unlike a true health emergency (such as a pet being struck by a vehicle or ingesting poison), our urgent care team is here to help when your pet's issue isn't life-threatening but shouldn't wait for a regular vet appointment during business hours.
This isn't a complete list, so if your pet doesn't have any of the symptoms above but you still believe that he or she is experiencing an urgent or emergency health condition, it's best not to take chances-bring them in right away.
