Keene Veterinary Hospital is a full-service small animal hospital providing medical, surgical, dental, radiological, and preventive care for the family pets in our community. Our veterinarians are capable of diagnosing and treating most conditions affecting the family pet, and if we feel your pet would be better served by a specialist, we will discuss the option of referral with you.
As we are not a 24-hour facility, on occasion, we may refer your pet to an emergency or critical care facility if it is indicated. Beyond first-rate pet health care, we strive to keep our hospital clean and comfortable. We also work hard to maintain and improve our friendly and honest customer service and welcome all input on this subject from you, our client.
Dr. Keene and Staff have been fabulous to us as new patients to their clinic. They are helpful and were able to get our cat in on short notice for emergency animal surgery. Dr. Keene was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago.
He went to college in northern Wisconsin (1974-1978), receiving a bachelor's degree in chemistry.
The following fall he started vet school at the University of Illinois.
In 1982, he received a bachelor of science degree in veterinary medicine and a doctorate of veterinary medicine.
After graduation, he came to Tampa to be closer to his parents who had moved to Florida several years earlier.
He worked for the next seven years in a 24-hour practice providing him with invaluable experiences.
