Country Club Animal Clinic was established in 1995. The Country Club name was chosen because Dr. Harvey started the practice out of her home on Country Club Road in April of 1995, making house calls out of the back of a Honda hatchback. After starting as a house-call practice, primarily seeing birds and other exotics, within two months the practice quickly grew into a full-fledged general practice with dogs and cats.
With the help of Matt and Debbie Koch, a permanent site was found at 5470 Doniphan. The doors opened on Memorial Day, 1995. Since we opened, we have always taken pride in giving good customer service, providing excellent care to our patients in a clean, neat environment at fair prices. We want to provide a safe, friendly environment in which our employees can work, providing modern equipment as well as opportunities to learn as much as possible regarding animals and veterinary medicine.

A "tumor" is simply a swelling.
There are many different causes of swellings.
Abscesses, insect bites, allergic reactions, and cancer are just some of the causes.
Your pet's veterinarian can distinguish between these causes by a physical exam, history and sometimes other diagnostic tests.
Each cause has its own individual treatment.
Tumors caused by cancer can be benign or malignant.
Benign tumors do not spread to other parts of the body.
Malignant tumors usually carry a worse prognosis and have the potential to spread to other parts of the body.

What is a blood pressure test?
A blood pressure test for animals is a painless procedure that can be performed in the veterinarian's office.
It measures the pressure of blood against the walls of large arteries.
Which pets need a blood pressure test?
This may be recommended by your veterinarian if your pet has signs of high blood pressure or if they currently have a disease that can be associated with high blood pressure, including hyperthyroidism or kidney disease.
Depending on the age of the animal, they may be tested at every visit as well.
