Say goodbye to your companion in the comfort and privacy of your home where your pet feels safe and is surrounded by familiar faces. I cannot fully express how much your gentle and thoughtful compassion meant to us as you guided us through Pete & Emma's final days. We will never forget such warmth and kindness. I grew up in Eugene, OR and I am happy to call the Pacific Northwest home.

Following graduation from veterinary school at Oregon State University I completed a small animal internship at WestVet Emergency and Speciality Center in Boise, Idaho. I then spent 5 years in Seattle working in both emergency and private practice. I truly feel I found my calling in 2016 when I began working for an in-home, end-of-life practice in the Seattle area.

There are few things greater than the human-animal bond and this line of work allows me to play an important role in the very special dynamic between people and their beloved companions. In 2016 I also completed training and certification in veterinary medical acupuncture through CuraCore in Fort Collins, CO.
Services
Acupuncture has been used successfully in people for thousands of years to treat many conditions.
It is also very beneficial for our companion animals and can be performed on pets of any age.
Most commonly, acupuncture is used to treat musculoskeletal problems such as arthritis, soft tissue injuries and nerve problems, including paralysis.
Many other conditions also benefit from acupuncture, like GI and respiratory conditions, liver and kidney dysfunction and skin disorders.
While it will not cure all ailments, it is a way to help the body heal itself.
Making the decision to euthanize a beloved companion is heartbreaking.
Few, if any, things in life prepare us to make the decision to end a life we love so deeply.
However, euthanasia is often the kindest and bravest choice we can make for our pets when they are no longer enjoying a decent quality of life.
Knowing when can be the most challenging part of this process.
When we are with them every day it can be difficult to assess how they are doing and how things are changing over time.
A quality of life assessment allows for an in-home, comprehensive evaluation that includes not only a physical exam, but also an examination of your pet's individual environment and routine.
Saying goodbye to our beloved pets is extremely difficult and often very emotional.
In-home euthanasia provides a private and familiar environment for you and your pet during this difficult time.
The procedure can take place wherever you and your pet feel most comfortable.
There is nothing you need to do to prepare for the visit as I will have everything we need.
On the day of the appointment you can treat it as any other day and give food and medications as you normally would.
Many people are tempted to feed many treats and spoil a pet in the days leading up to euthanasia.
I can't thank you enough for your kindness to Mr. Ziggy and us.
I'm so grateful that you would come to our house and make my beloved cat's last minutes with us calm, gentle and comfortable.
Your ability to navigate such situations with such grace and understanding is a gift.
A note to say thank you for your kindness, compassion, care and respect as we said goodbye to our beloved Harley.
We are so grateful you could come to our house and he could be surrounded with comfort and love as he went to sleep.
Please note that because I am providing this service as a one-doctor practice my available days and hours may vary.
I do my very best to accommodate same day appointments when I am able.
During regular business hours (Mon-Sat 8 am - 6 pm, Sun 10 am - 4 pm) I aim to return calls and emails by the end of the day.
