Founded in 1993 by Dr. Sharmyn Clark, Mobile Veterinary Care, Inc.(MVC) originally started for pet guardians who were disabled or elderly, but the clientele quickly expanded to include anyone who wants in-home veterinary services. Based in Chagrin Falls, MVC offers professional services to treat four-legged patients in several regions in Northeast Ohio including Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Portage and Summit counties.
MVC is ideal for persons who are home bound or who do not have time to take their pets to a veterinary clinic and sit in the waiting room. Canine and feline patients are usually less anxious being in a familiar home setting versus being taken into a clinic. MVC also provides senior and end of life care which includes in-home pet hospice. Senior pets can remain in their home where they can be kept comfortable and pain levels can be closely monitored and evaluated.
Pets and their guardians receive care, compassion, and convenience with Mobile Veterinary Care, Inc. To schedule an in-home veterinary visit or request further information, contact MVC at 440-338-6088 or mobilevetcare1@gmail.com.

It's taken me some time to be able to write this note.
As Gretchen knows, we lost our girl two weeks ago tomorrow.
Daisy was beyond beloved to us.
I had her for more than twelve years.
She went to work with me every day and played such a huge role in the routines, intimacies and joys of both life at work and at home.
For as heartbroken as we are, I cannot tell you how grateful I am that her final care took place in her own home.
Perhaps because she was a rescue, going to the vet was always such a source of anxiety to her.

Mobile Veterinary Care created the Rainbow Bridge Pet Hospice and Senior Care in Northeast Ohio, and as many animal lovers probably know, the hospice is named after the beautiful poem where pets who have departed passed over the Rainbow Bridge playing and running, as they wait to be reunited with their guardians.
Your 11-year-old dog has arthritis, is losing his vision and is developing incontinence issues.
Years ago a vet would have suggested putting the dog to sleep, or to euthanize him.
Back then euthanasia was the only way to remedy a pet's suffering.

As with humans, pet hospice provides care, comfort, and compassion for elderly or terminally ill cats and dogs when they cannot be cured or no cure is desired.
It ensures that the pet has the best possible quality of life during the final stage of life.
The philosophy of hospice care is to provide and facilitate care for terminally ill animals; offering palliative care and pain relief as an alternative to suffering, premature euthanasia, or time spent away from the family while in intensive care.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
