Dr. Rutar received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
He attended the University of Wyoming and Arizona State University where he earned a degree in Sports Medicine and a Masters degree in Clinical Biomechanics.
Dr. Rutar spent several years working with a team of physicians focused on implementing anatomically specific surgical simulations which could be used to provide better surgical decision making capabilities.
He is a published author and a member of many professional organizations including the American Association of Equine Practioners and is a past qualifier to the College National Finals Rodeo.
