Kem Road Animal Hospital
Kem Road Animal Hospital was founded in 1969 by Dr. Ronald Matchett as a mixed animal hospital. There have been a number of doctors that have shared their knowledge, time, and expertise with Kem Road Animal Hospital through the years. Around 1998 we became a primarily small animal clinic, as the needs of the area changed and more pets needed our attention.

Routine wellness exams are one of the most important things you can do to keep your pet healthy.
The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) recommends annual wellness exams at a minimum.
As your pet ages, they suggest an increase in frequency of visits.
Since pets can't vocalize how they are feeling, illness or disease may be present before you are aware of symptoms.
The benefit of early detection allows time for steps to be taken to manage or correct a problem before irreversible damage occurs.
Vaccinations help to combat diseases by exposing the pet's immune system to inactive or small amount of a particular form of bacteria or virus.
Our doctors will perform a physical examination to make sure your pet is healthy enough to receive the vaccines, and help you decide which vaccines are appropriate for your pet.
Proper and timely administration is paramount to ensure for optimal protection.
For puppies and kittens, vaccinations generally begin at 6-8 weeks of age and are given every three to four weeks until 16 weeks.
Spaying or neutering your pet can help them live a longer, healthier life, and minimizes behavior problems.
Spaying or neutering your pet helps control the population of unwanted litters, which contributes to thousands of euthanasia procedures and millions of stray animals.
Spaying is a surgical procedure in which both ovaries and uterus are completely removed from your female pet.
Spaying will help prevent diseases in your pet such as pyometra (infection in the uterus) and decrease risk of mammary cancer.
