Audrain Veterinary Clinic is a full-service animal hospital and welcomes both emergency treatment cases as well as pet patients in need of routine medical, surgical, and dental care. Our appointment system allows us to efficiently make convenient appointments for you and your pet.
Our team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability.
To better serve our clients veterinary emergencies are accepted on a call-ahead basis (to ensure the veterinarian is available), during the day, or anytime after hours when the clinic is closed.
If you feel you have an emergency with your pet or livestock after hours, please call us at 573-581-4679 and leave a detailed message.
Our full-service large animal care facility includes a covered hydraulic chute, making it more convenient to perform a variety of large animal veterinary procedures here at our clinic in Mexico, Missouri.
These procedures include standing surgeries when required.
Audrain Veterinary Clinic also has a portable chute which we are able to use at your farm or facility.
The small animal clinic at Audrain Veterinary Clinic is equipped with complete blood count and blood chemistry machines, digital x-ray, a fully stocked veterinary pharmacy, ultrasound equipment, cold laser procedures, comfortable boarding facilities, a surgical suite, and a large treatment room where we perform most of our non-surgical procedures.

We understand it may be easier for you to order online rather than visit our clinic.
We'd love to see you however the convenience of ordering from home and no shipping charges is a great option if you'd prefer not to get out.
We recommend a yearly checkup as a preventative measure to catch the disease before it becomes a problem and to establish normal baseline values for your animal (Ex: temperature, heart rate, and body weight).
Audrain Veterinary Clinic is ready and able to aid in returning your pet back to good health if they have any illness or injury and need assistance.
Every examination includes a basic evaluation of the heart, lungs, mouth, eyes, ears, lymph nodes, and abdominal palpation.
Additional procedures can be performed if the clinician deems it necessary.
We perform blood draws and examinations for participation in the USDA Certified-Free Herds program for Brucellosis and Tuberculosis in cattle and Pseudorabies, PRRS, and Brucellosis in swine.
We can now perform Pork Quality Assurance (PQA) certification for farm staff, as well as do PQA Plus on-site assessments of your farm.
We will examine your animal(s) if they are injured or sick and require treatment.
Basic physical examinations include evaluation of heart and lungs, temperature as needed, evaluation of the rumen/abdomen, and additional procedures as requested or necessary.
