Dedicated to providing your pet with high quality preventive, diagnostic, and surgical care in a comfortable, caring environment. Can SARS-CoV-2 infect dogs, cats and other animals? We don't really know. Preliminary evidence suggests that one dog in Hong Kong that lived with a person infected with the virus tested positive multiple times over multiple days.
This suggests that the dog was in fact infected, rather than just contaminated with the virus. Subsequently, a second dog tested positive by RT-PCR. Boarding services are available for our existing patients that are up to date on vaccinations and have a regular exam- and vaccination history from our hospital. We currently do not allow beds, blankets, towels, toys, bowls or other items to be brought into the hospital.
Appointments: Call us when you arrive in the parking lot: we will discuss/confirm your pets needs at that time. Also confirm your (cell)phone number so that we can contact you. Please remain in your vehicle with your pet.

Services
The majority of cats and dogs over the age of 2 have some form of dental disease.
During your regular wellness and vaccination exams Dr. Neumeister will take a close look at your pet's gums, check the teeth for plaque and tartar, oral infections, bad breath and other problems.
This is important because the signs of disease can be subtle at first.
Oral disease will affect the overall health of your pet greatly.
Especially heart-, liver- and kidney disease can be the result of bacteria from bad teeth.

Class IV Deep Tissue Laser Therapy was still new for use on pets when Doctor Neumeister started using it several years ago.
Before that it had only benefited world-class athletes and thoroughbred race horses to reduce swelling, reduce pain, and speed the healing processes.
Dr. Neumeister immediately recognized it's value for the patients at Neumeister Animal Hospital, and started using Laser Therapy to treat post-surgical pain and many acute and chronic conditions.
Subsequently Laser Therapy has been helping us to treat a wide range of conditions non-invasively and without drugs.

All of the above speaks for itself.
That's why we strongly urge our clients to microchip their pets.
A microchip is more reliable than a collar and a tag, because there is no chance it will fall off.
The microchip is a permanent ID that links your pet to you.
It is inserted with a simple injection and will not move.
If your pet is taken to an animal shelter or clinic the staff will scan the the microchip to read its unique ID code.
As soon as your contact information is retrieved you will be contacted and arrangements will be made to reunite you with your pet.

Lyme disease is transmitted by the deer tick or black-legged tick and can be found in every U.S. state and Canadian province.
Dogs are 50% more likely than people to contract Lyme disease.
How could my dog become infected?
Ticks and mosquitoes often carry parasites and bacteria that cause disease.
They can be transmitted to your pet if an infected tick or mosquito bites them.
Your dog can be exposed to infection in almost any outdoor location where ticks and mosquitoes can be found, and risk varies from region to region.

Rabies is an acute viral infection that is usually caused by the bite or scratch of an infected animal that has rabies virus in its saliva.
The virus travels along the nerves to the brain.
It can take days, weeks or months before clinical signs start to show.
These could be sudden behavioral changes in temperament, aggression ans signs of apprehension.
Seizures and tremors that can lead to paralysis are also common.
If your cat has been bitten by or exposed to a wild or potentially rabid animal give us a call immediately and report it to local animal control authorities.
