For those who are unaware, Animal Hospital experienced a large fire that caused drastic damages. We are beyond grateful that no animals or hospital personnel were inside at the time of the incident. With the support of our staff and community, we are well on our road to recovery. An official grand opening date will be announced soon! Please call the animal hospital's number normally as we have all the calls directed to the Lincoln ave Cat Hospital in Fairlawn.

Since 1984 Animal Hospital of Fairfield has been providing the pets of New Jersey with the best animal health care. Founded by Dr. Paul Kozak, whose experience was over 50 years, Animal Hospital of Fairfield offers a high level of medical service. Dr. Elakbawy became director of the hospital in 2001, since then he has updated and rebuilt facilities, but kept what attracts people and their pets into practice - a clean, quiet, and relaxed atmosphere and excellent medical, advanced surgical and dental care.

Dr. Elakbawy leads the team of well-trained and attentive veterinarians, technicians, and administrative professionals who love animals and want nothing more than to see them healthy and happy.

Unfortunately, the life span of most pets are typically shorter than humans and they often require more medical care and attention.
In order to maintain the health of your pet we recommend that you bring in your pet for health check ups at least twice a year.
As proud members of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) we provide a wide variety of high quality, comprehensive services.
Your pet is a very important part of your family.
Studies show that pet owners live longer, happier lives.
Unfortunately, most pets have shorter life spans than humans and require more medical care and attention.
Keeping in mind that most pets age more quickly than you do, regular yearly examinations are essential, and as your pet gets older, twice yearly examinations help ensure your pet's continued health.
Nothing is more important to us than your pet's health and well-being.
Routine wellness exams give us the chance to evaluate your pet's health and to detect problems that could possibly escalate to more serious illnesses.
Untreated gum disease can cause bad breath, tooth decay, and tooth loss, but once the bacteria gains access to internal organs through diseased gums, more serious health problems like heart, liver and kidney disease may follow.
It isn't only dogs and cats that need dental care.
Ferrets require dental cleanings to prevent the build-up of tartar and plaque.
Small pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, mice, and rats require regular attention to their teeth.
Their incisors and the molars must be ground down to prevent malocclusion, where the teeth grow too long or unevenly.
The terms periodontal disease or dental disease in pets used to describe gingivitis (inflammation of the gums) and periodontitis (inflammation of the bone and other support structures around the tooth).
According to a study by the American Veterinary Dental Association, more than 8 out of 10 of adult (older than 3 years) dogs and cats have some form of periodontal disease.
It's very important to keep your pet's teeth clean and healthy, and a good way to start is regular dental examinations on your pet.
