The Family Pet Clinic was originally named Bartles Pet Clinic by its founder, Dr. Harry Bartles, in 1992.
A year later, Dr. Terri Slezak joined the practice.
In 2000, Dr. Bartles retired and sold the practice to Dr. Richard Thompson.
Not long after, the clinic held a contest among its clients to choose a new name- and "The Family Pet Clinic" was born!
In 2015, Dr. Eric Allie joined the practice and our team became complete.
The Family Pet Clinic is a full service facility, offering wellness care, specialized plans for puppies and kittens, senior pet care, a wide variety of surgery, pet dentistry, internal medicine, digital radiography, dermatology, behavior counseling, specialized toxicology treatment, a full pharmacy, medical grooming, microchip placement, and daytime emergency medicine.

Prior to obtaining her associate's degree in veterinary technology and her license as a registered veterinary technician, Jamie worked as a veterinary assistant at an emergency clinic in 2003.
At The Family Pet Clinic, Jamie specializes in nursing care of very young kittens and adds that "twelve years of working with the public helps when it comes to working with the other end of the leash, the client!"
Jamie has two dogs, Timmy and Corona, and three cats, Kobe, Izzy, and Callie.
She also provides a foster home for kittens and cats.
Radiographs are one of the most important diagnostic tools in veterinary medicine.
They allow us to view the shape, size and location of organs inside your pet's body.
Radiographs are extremely helpful for diagnosing and monitoring many medical and surgical conditions.
X-rays are useful for examining your pet's bones, lungs, heart, abdomen, oral cavity and other areas of the body.
An x-ray can detect a fractured bone, tumor, heart problem and locate an obstruction or foreign body in your pet's stomach or intestine.
