Services
We have had a LOT of dogs in our pack.
We've dealt with a LOT of Vets in the process.
Post Road Vet Team are the most kind, compassionate, caring, innovative and empathetic with both humans and our furry family.
Thank you to the entire team.
You are the BEST!
When I took my dog, I was very impressed with the service I received.
My dog is not very friendly with other dogs and it was not an issue, they had a room ready and waiting.
They were not only professional but they were very caring.
I consider them to be one of the most outstanding veterinary practices around.
We are dedicated to helping your pet achieve the highest quality of life.
Our team provides exceptional care while showing respect for you and your beloved companion.
Becoming a client is easy.
When we receive your information, a member of our team will be in touch to help you schedule your first appointment.
Not computer savvy?
No problem.
Feel free to call our veterinary clinic at 207-646-7200 to book an appointment and we'll gather the registration information over the phone.
We want your visit to Post Road Vet to be the best veterinary experience you ever had!
We're all animal lovers here and we work hard to create a warm, inviting and comfortable environment for you and your pet.
We will do our best to make sure you are seen by a technician as soon as we have one available.
Our goal is to make sure all of our patients are seen on time, but there will be times the occasional unexpected delay due to an emergency or because we are providing care for a patient that needs a little more time.
We monitor our patients closely to keep them as safe as possible during procedures that require general anesthesia.
A veterinary technician will continually assess your pet's heart and respiratory rate, blood pressure, and other vital signs to help prevent any anesthetic risk.
Please feel free to ask us about our patient monitoring protocol or any concerns you might have about your pet's procedure.
We'd be happy to discuss these matters in more detail.
For some procedures, your pet will need to be administered general anesthesia so that he or she will be unconscious and not feel pain.
Imagine what your mouth would feel like if you never brushed your teeth or went to the dentist.
For many dogs and cats, this is a painful reality.
According to the American Veterinary Dental Society, more than 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have dental disease by the age of 3. Dental (or periodontal) disease is the most frequently diagnosed health problem in pets.
Even if your dog or cat doesn't have these symptoms, we recommend that you have a veterinarian evaluate your pet's dental health at least once a year.
